Following numerous high level visits in both countries in recent months, the minister of State for Financial Affairs H.E. Obeid Al Tayer visited Luxembourg on 20 June 2018. On this occasion, the minister of Finance of Luxembourg, Mr. Pierre Gramegna hosted a meeting where both ministers held constructive and fruitful discussions on cooperation opportunities on financial and fiscal matters. Among other topics, both parties convened that the fintech sector offers promising cooperation perspectives. Both agreed that they would support initiatives to deepen collaboration between relevant institutions of both countries.
H.E. Obaid Al Tayer and his delegation also visited the Luxembourg House of Financial Technologies (LHoFT), Luxembourg’s dedicated platform for the development and promotion of a fintech ecosystem.
